1 lb. mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 lb. ricotta cheese

1 lb. turkey, chopped
2 cans Italian crushed tomatoes

In a large pot, add a little oil, chopped garlic, and lots of onions. Brown the garlic, and onions slightly. Then add chopped meat, dice meat very fine and brown. Add oregano, fresh basil, garlic powder, garlic salt, and mix thoroughly while browning. When browned, add tomatoes, mix with meat and cook for about 2 hours on medium heat. Boil 2 lbs. of ziti while waiting. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta and shredded mozzarella cheese together with garlic powder. When ziti is cooked, (Pete liked it not completely cooked), drain and put into large baking pan. Take the cheese mixture and blend into ziti, and cover with the sauce. Sprinkle grated cheese on top, cover with
foil and bake for 30 minutes at 300.

Note: This was Pete's Birthday dish each year...March 2 Hope you enjoy it!

It has been said "time heals all wounds" I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind (protecting its sanity) covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it's never gone.
