KELSEY'S GRAMPA'S POPCORN BALLS
1 c. sugar
1 c. white syrup
2 T. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vinegar
1/4 c. baking soda
popcorn, buttered and salted
Combine sugar, syrup, butter and vinegar in large pot. Cook until boiling, then
boil until thread can be formed. Add baking soda. Pour over pan of buttered and
salted popped corn. Form into 20 - 25 baseball-size balls by wetting hands in
cool water.

DANNY'S BANANA BUTTERMILK PANCAKES
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
2 T. vegetable oil
1 medium-large mashed ripe banana
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch salt
1 T. sugar
Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, sugar and
cinnamon in a large bowl. Combine egg, butter milk, oil and mashed banana in
separate bowl. Add wet ingredients to dry; mix until only small lumps
remain. (Do not over-mix.) Drop batter on buttered griddle or skillet over
medium-high heat and brown on both sides, allowing insides to cook without
burning. Makes 9 to 10 medium-sized pancakes.
Note: Dan also followed the pancake recipe and made them with
friends.
