ANGEL JAY'S BOURBON AND CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE
Chocolate Chess Pie
2 T. bourbon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans (up to 2/3 cup)
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 9-inch pie shell (uncooked)
Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, syrup, salt, bourbon, and vanilla. Mix
until
blended. Spread pecans and chocolate chips in bottom of pie shell. Pour
filling into shell. Bake in a 375° oven 35 - 40 minutes. Yield: 6 to 8
servings
Note: Jay had many favorite recipes. From an early age, he
appreciated good food. Some of his favorites were: pork chops, broccoli, and
squash. He couldn't understand at age 5 and 6 why his friends didn't like
vegetables. I think he still wants his mom to prepare his favorite pie. This
Thanksgiving was the first time I did since he took his wings.
